250kW EV MOTORS

FOR HIGH-PERFORMANCE MOTORSPORT

Zytek provides high performance 250 kW electric motors for Formula E and other higher power motorsport applications.

Received as an entry to Formula E season 2, Zytek’s 250kW electric motor was designed with an excess of power in mind, to enable it to be also used in other potential higher power motorsport applications.

The design was dedicated for use in Formula E with focus on a low centre of gravity and ultra-high efficiency, whilst using cost effective materials to keep overall product cost under control.

Using Zytek’s proprietary state of the art winding technology, the machine was campaigned throughout Formula E seasons 2, 3 and 4 achieving:

  • Sixteen race wins
  • Four out of six drivers and manufacturers championships.

The machine has been iterated over the life of Formula E to further reduce mass and inertia ensuring it remained competitive to the last race.
