Zytek provides motorsport wiring harnesses and HV cables for the highest performance electric and hybrid race cars.
Our skilled technicians in the High Voltage (HV) cables team offer the capability to design, manufacture, test and integrate HV cable assemblies according to individual customer specifications and requirements.
We also have experience in delivering HV wiring harnesses with a wide range of other connectors.
Our Cable Types:
- HVA280 – the low & medium current connector system for hybrid and electric vehicle devices.
- HVA 630 – maximum power distribution and protection, providing advanced high voltage protection for onboard charging systems.
- HVP 800 – high voltage cable and connector system that connects the battery, inverter, and e-motor.
In a partnership with TE Electronics using approved tooling and processes, Zytek can deliver high voltage wiring harnesses with shielded wires together with test capability which includes crimp integrity and HV isolation.

Wiring harnesses for automobiles are used to connect electrical components in an automobile’s engine compartment. They consist of wires that carry electric current from various parts of the vehicle to its battery.

We carry stock of all popular cable sizes and connector types, so can offer a very quick turnaround on customer orders.
Whilst the larger cable sizes and connectors are intended for traction applications, we also stock smaller cable sizes and wiring looms for ancillary use (e.g. charging and other HV loads).
The tooling used to terminate the connectors onto the cables themselves has been purchased from the connector supplier and must be used in order to ensure a robust connection.
The use of other tooling to complete the connection could result in a high resistance joint which increases the likelihood of a failure in service.
For these reasons, Zytek only offers complete cable assemblies. Should this be difficult for customers, please call to discuss options on how we can work together
